Our candles are made with 100% soy wax base. We use a flat wick which possesses intertwined thin paper fibres. The results of this wick design are a cleaner burn, controlled curling and a hotter, more efficient flame.
We infuse our soy wax with natural essential oils. No synthetics are used in our products.
Show some extra love and prolong the life of your candle by following our candle care guideline below.
HOW TO LOVE YOUR CANDLE
Trim the wick
Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4” at all times - trim before use for best practice, this will help reduce black smoke and smoldering.
Let the wax pool
Each time you light your candle, let the candle burn until the wax melts across the entire surface area - this will avoid tunnelling
Check the time
Burn your candle for up to a maximum of four hours at a time
Burn it safely
Always burn your candle on a stable and heat-resistant surface, avoid drafts, keep away from children and pets, and never leave your candle unattended
Storage
Keep your candles in a cool + dry location and avoid sunbeams
Know when to say goodbye
When only 1/2” of wax remains in your candle jar, it’s time to say goodbye
BURN TIPS
Black Smoke: If your flame is too large and you can see black smoke coming off of the flame or starting to mark the inside of you vessel. Exposing your wick to 1/4" of fresh, unbrunt wick will combat this.
The easiest way to trim your wick is to blow out your candle and use a dry paper towl to saok up enough of the wax to expose 1/4' of fresh unburnt wick. Trim the wick and light your candle allowing it around 30 seconds and the flame size should have subsided significantly and best of all, no more black smoke! yay
Repeat this techiniques as many times as needed for the flame to reach the size of the "ideal flame" size.
Smoldering: It is ok if your candle flame is smoldering it doesn't need to be fixed unless you would like a stronger flame. To fix this, you simply need to blow out your candle, trim your wick using your fingers to break off the excess burnt bits and you are ready to burn your candle once more and enjoy a bigger flame.
